Call for papers
This workshop aims to bring together like-minded individuals to connect and grow their networks in the professional learning analytics area. A key part of the workshop program is the Research and Innovation Showcase, a 60 minute session that will allow researchers, practitioners, professional learning staff, thought leaders, educators and other interested individuals in this exciting space an opportunity to share their research, case studies, examples of professional learning analytics in this space and or their perspectives on how we can grow it in future. Presentations will be approximately 10 minutes, followed by audience interaction facilitated by the session chair.
Topics of Interest
The organising committee warmly invite submissions to present as part of the workshop Research and Innovation showcase. We are interested in submissions related to a breadth of work in the area of professional learning analytics including position papers, case studies, practitioner reports and research articles.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Extracting, analyzing, and leveraging non-traditional data sources to support informal workplace learning.
- Harnessing data generated by workplcae technology to understand professional knowledge gaps.
- Approaches to designing learning tools and scaffolding their use to support data-driven professional learning.
- Communicating and presenting analytics to professional learners
- Measuring the impact of professional learning analytics to support varied professional learning.
- Challenges and opportunities in professional learning analytics.
- Case studies and examples of:
- How learning tools have been developed and/or integrated into a professional setting
- Successful implementations of professional learning analytics
- How professional learning analytics has either been included within or informed policy
- Ethical considerations for the introduction of professional learning analytics
- Effective co-design of professional learning analytics initiatives
Submission Guidelines
Please submit a short article using the LAK Companion Proceedings Template.
Minimum submission length for presentations is 500 words (excluding abstract). Maximum length for submissions are four pages including 200 word abstract, presenter details and references. Please follow formatting instructions provided in the LAK25 companion proceedings template. Template submission should be de-identified so please omit author names and affiliations from this document.

All accepted submissions will be published on this workshop website after the conference.
Please be aware that presentations accepted as part of LAK25 workshops will not be included in the Companion Proceedings of LAK2025.
